The business has been set up to help deliver and advise clients about the best EV charging solutions and our goal is to be the go-to company when it comes to meeting your needs with regards to EV charging systems.

Our team of experts between them have over 50 years of experience within the electrical contracting, highway electrical and exterior lighting industry. SERVICES

SURVEYS & DESIGN

We offer a bespoke site survey and a full site risk assessment to ascertain if the proposed EV charge site is suitable.

Site Surveys can include suitable existing electrical infrastructure, existing electrical earthing and PME sources and TT Earthing suitability.

We have specialist testing equipment that can test the proposed TT installation for suitability and have access to DNO mapping systems.

All designs are carried out by our fully trained and qualified in house design team, who can offer anything form simple electrical and lighting designs to more complex electrical designs/circuit charts and lighting designs.

We also offer verification of existing electrical circuits and Lighting Systems to verify if the existing infrastructure is suitable.

Our design processes are based on using the latest commercially available software:

Electrical Designs - Trimble Software & AutoCAD

Lighting Designs - Lighting Reality/Calculux/Autolux & AutoCAD

In nearly all cases our design team will visit the site to familiarise themselves with the existing environment and infrastructure.

INSTALLATION

EV Power Up can install the infrastructure to power your EV charging unit.

From liaising with the DNO to get the correct power supply designed and installed to building and manufacturing bespoke feeder pillar solutions to power your charge units.

All pre-wired feeder pillars will be supplied with circuit drawings, schematic drawings and connection details.

Feeder Pillars and housings for EV charge units can be made to customers’ requirements and we specialise in a heritage style unit. EV Power Up will work with both the client and the EV charger supplier to create a bespoke option.

We offer a full civil engineering service, from trenching cables, installing charge point foundations to white lining and installation of signage and bollards etc.

EV Power Up also offer the option to use an ICP contractor instead of the DNO, this can offer flexibility to a project and simplify the project management of the site.

Once the installation is complete, EV Power Up will test and commission the power supplies, provide electrical test certificates, cable designs, as built drawings and schematic drawings.

MAINTENANCE

After the installation, testing and commissioning of installation the new installation will need maintaining as per BS7671 and as per the Electricity at Works Regulations.

All RCDs need to be tested every six months and a full Visual and electrical test of the installation every six years.
